Nothing personal.. just business.
This is a translation of the post by Provincialka published in the Russian language blog.
Her story begins just like other stories of thousands victims of human trafficking – desire to earn and have a luxurious live… And people in her life appeared not casually…
“She used to be just like us – a girl from a poor rural family. However, after her trip to Turkey, she changed – became very rich, - Olya (name is changed) begins her story with a genuine rage.
What follows is Olyas story, how she fell a victim of human trafficking. Olya refers to the “lucky woman” as “she”.
“She gathered us in a local cafe, and told us that it was her treat, as she was meeting her old friends. We were sitting, chatting. She was the main speaker. She told us about her “success story” – how she arrived to Istanbul, and how she was met and lodged for free in a decent apartment. She was given a good work with a monthly salary of one thousand US dollars. All of us listened to her story very attentively, greedily expecting its next word. We got very interested. She beautifully described every detail that we listened to her with wide open mouths. Smoothly the monologue turned into dialogue. Soon, we began asking questions about every possible ways of going to Turkey for earnings. At first, she answered occasionally to the questions not paying attention to our interest, but then, she began agitating going to Turkey promising that she would help us in everything. I could not fall asleep till late at night that day. I was already planning my future – how I would help my family, how I would move to a city and buy an apartment in a good neighborhood. I thought that it was high time to earn money myself.
Next day, I found her and asked to help me in finding a job in Turkey. She agreed. However, she warned that in the beginning it would be hard to get accustomed to a new place far from a family. I thought that for a girl like me, who has seen much in her life, it will not be a problem. She promised to meet with me in couple of days to discuss our further actions.
As it appeared, I was not the only one, who got interested in the idea of going to Turkey for earnings. There were four of us in café - she, me and two other naive girls. We discussed everything, each step in detail. At the end of our conversation, she told that we would not regret.
The process of collecting all necessary documents didn’t take long time. Everything was ready in a week. All we needed were plane tickets. She urged to buy only one-way tickets.
After fund raising for the ticket by means getting debts, I began preparing for departure. Farewell was not long. I wrote a note to my parents, where I said that I was leaving for several months and that I would arrive safe and secure. I asked them not to worry and that I could stand for myself, if something wrong would happen.
We left to Tashkent early in the morning and headed straight to the airport.
I had never flown on planes. I used to watch it only on the black-and-white TV. Therefore, I behaved in a constrained manner. I was afraid of acting wrong in the plane. However, I felt myself at home in two hours. I no longer hesitated, looked out of the window and admired a view “from height of the bird’s flight.” I was naïve…
Very soon, we landed. We have passed customs control, and she asked us to give our passports to her. She said that she had needed them for some registration. We obediently gave our documents to her…”
To be continued.

“I was naïve…”
===================
Probably greedy and willing to get too rich too soon. It is more likely that she just wasn’t able to make as much as she wanted to that is all. Every single of these “naive” ladies know what they are up to from the very beginning.

I agree. In fact, many of these ‘naive’/'ignorant’ girls/women are already doing that sort of ‘work’ at home.

I agree that it is not about ignorance or naiveness. They know what they are going for.
