WOW! This was my reaction to the video report that I have uploaded below. The video report, made for CNN World Report, tells about an Uzbek guy, who is 2,44 m (aprox. 8 feet) tall! Can you believe it? It is the first time I see such talk Uzbek. His name is Isroil Hushbokov and lives in Ogchar village of Surhandaryo province, Uzbekistan. I don’t exactly know when the video was made, but today Isroil Hushbokov is 27 years old.

Though the video report is in English, some parts of it are not translated. Below I give my own translation.

Mother: When he was six month old baby, a cradle [Uzbek cradle] was too small for him, so he slept on the bed [which is unusual for Uzbek]. Comparing to his peers at school, my son was as tall as his teachers. Then in his young age, he was as tall as his father. Three of my fathers were like him – very tall.

Father: Even in the biggest bazaars we can’t find clothes that would suit him. We have to order clothes to tailor, everything – from underwear to headwear. Even shoes we have to order to shoemaker.

Isroil: When I have to go to a long distance, I have to use public buses. Uzbek made cars: Nexia, Tico, Damas and Matiz are very cramped inside, so I do not fit in them. When I sit in Damas [mini van, used as a public taxi], I have to sit in the trunk part of it, and drivers always make me pay extra money for it. Therefore, I mostly use buses.

Doctor: Only 3-4 million of people in the world are like Isroil. He will keep growing. And he eats a lot - enough for 4-5 people.

In the report it was said that Isroil Hushbokov was looking for a fiancée. I wonder how things are going with the search process.

Looks like Marfan’s syndrome to me. Hope he has access to a good cardiologist (in addition to extreme height, the syndrome effects cardiac function).
