I had the honor of knowing this talented, brave, young guy from high school. He was a classmate of my younger brother. I did not hear about him until 2003 when I was contacted by his friend Eldor. Eldor said he and his friend Alisher were trying to open a website for uzbek minority of Kyrgyzstan. They were raising some money from Uzbeks living outside of the country. I was studying at Middle Tennessee State University at the time. I and Dildora who was studying at a university in Illinois collected some money and wired it to them. I was really excited about the idea of uzbek website.
I had the opportunity of meeting him a year after when I went back home.
Then, I followed him closely by his articles on various website and was really impressed by his work. People like him don’t come along too often and I am really saddened by this tragic loss.
